I wanted to create a mock cover which was reminiscent of the "Detective Comics" covers of the 1940s and made the viewer want to pick it up and read it.
I did two version and the both had the same problem - it was more about the Joker/Red Hood as hero than The Batman as villain.
Oh well.

Ink on paper, scanned in and coloured with GIMPShop. Poorly.

p.s. I should have added that a large part of my inspiration came from "Batman, the Brave and the Bold: Deep Cover For Batman" - a nicely done episode.

Classic Batman vintage :) And I love the twist. Kind of makes me wish there was a full comic to go with the cover.

As usual, your work is so engrossing and always hints at a deeper story :)

So good!

Joker is by his very nature a scene stealer, so no shock he became the focus; it's what he does!
