James Bond and Neil Gaiman's Death - pencil by Nick-Perks James Bond and Neil Gaiman's Death - pencil by Nick-Perks
James Bond anniversary!
Here, James Bond and Neil Gaiman's Death.
I thought it would be funny to see Connery's charms undo even Death's relaxed composure.
Two versions - the original pencil on paper and colorized by smoothdraw3.

Sean Connery is pretty much made of testosterone and body hair. Few ladies can refuse his charms; even physical manifestations of abstract concepts get all weak kneed and giggly!

Utterly charming Nick!

That was my rationale!
Glad you liked it! I have a suspicion there may be a few Death fans who consider it sacrilege... But they won't be able to find me (whew).

Really cool seeing this, Nick. You got an especially good likeness on Connery, too. Maybe I'll try just coloring tight pencils in the near future, for variety's sake. :)

Thanks again! Colouring pencils, or a monochrome picture, is what I am trying out. As you have noted the pencils have to be 'tight' - tighter the better really. Makes me wonder if I shouldn't just ink the damned things...
But yeah, please try it - let me know what you think!

Yeah, I think the Tarzan piece would be a good time for me to mix it up a bit & give it a retro, aged photograph look. :)

Thanks, Nick. I would've loved to done color tones for it as well, but time was not on my side... I finished that piece at about 12:30pm on Thanksgiving Day. :)
